Equality & Diversity Policy

1. Policy Statement

Masterson Installation Services is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of our work. We value the differences that a diverse workforce brings and aim to create an environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, belief, or any other protected characteristic.

We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or victimisation in any form and will take proactive steps to ensure fairness in recruitment, employment, site operations, and subcontractor relationships.

2. Scope of the Policy

This policy applies to:

• All employed staff (office-based or otherwise)

• Subcontractors working on behalf of the company

• Job applicants, site visitors, and anyone interacting with our business

• Human Rights Act 1998

• Other relevant UK employment and anti-discrimination legislation

4. Responsibilities

4.1 Director: Steven Masterson

• Overall accountability for promoting equality and diversity within the company

• Ensures the policy is implemented and reviewed regularly

4.2 Office Manager / Site Supervisors

• Promote inclusive practices in day-to-day operations

• Monitor behaviour and respond to any reports of discrimination or harassment

4.3 Employees and Subcontractors

• Expected to treat others with dignity and respect at all times

• Must not engage in or condone discriminatory practices

5. Our Commitments

5.1 Recruitment and Employment

• Recruitment decisions are based on merit and job-related criteria

• We aim to provide equal opportunities in training, development, and promotion

• Flexible working arrangements and reasonable adjustments will be considered where appropriate

5.2 Site Conduct and Behaviour

• All workers (employees and subcontractors) must behave respectfully on site

• Any form of racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory language or behaviour will be addressed immediately

• Site rules will include conduct expectations in line with this policy

5.3 Complaints and Concerns

• Any concerns regarding discrimination or harassment will be taken seriously and investigated promptly

• Employees and subcontractors are encouraged to report concerns to management in confidence

• No one will be victimised for raising a concern in good faith

6. Monitoring and Review

• We will monitor the effectiveness of this policy through feedback, recruitment data, and incident reports

• The policy will be reviewed annually or in response to significant changes in legislation or company structure
